boon's log 0508.01: 1st entry for 2008
First of all a very belated Happy New Year! And yes, this is indeed the first entry for Two-Oh-Oh-Eight. What a month - it practically flew past without me even noticing it. Part of it was due to work and the other part is also the stress of relocation (which is, depending on how you look at it, has something to do with work as well... Ha!).
Yup, the three of us are due to relocate on the 7th day of Chinese New Year, the Year of the Mickey Mouse. It's been quite a hassle this round getting all the documentation done and approved. But finally, it's all good and we've got our tickets, and ready to fly. The next biggest hurdle would be the packing - which we foresee would be a nerve-wrenching experience, as always. But we believe the greatest hurdle would be the trip itself - with the Princess flying with us - her first maiden trip abroad, on a 13-hour flight (i.e. the longest in the series of connecting flights). Do keep us in your prayers. It'll be a challenge.
How's your respective CNY preparations coming along? Us? well, nothing much has been done so far. We've only managed to get some gifts for some of the elders done last weekend. Apart from that, zip. Nothing much. We've also been priviledged of having our friends and relatives throwing us farewell dinners - thanks you guys! Our love to you all.
Well, just a short update at this point. Not sure when's the next entry - hopefully one more before we take off. Well, just in case, Happy Chinese New Year to all boonspot Chinese readers and happy to Holidays to the rest of you.
boon out...
