Superb Engineering!
I was partially watching Discovery Channel last night while working and bumped into this pretty cool website where it has some of the engineering projects and plans that we would have once thought impossible (or still think) that it is impossible to build or will never come to being in this lifetime. Well, imagine traveling from New York to London by train... under the Atlantic Ocean, traveling at speeds of up to 500miles per hour! This trip will only take you slightly less than an hour! Can't believe it? Check it out at Extreme Engineering. I find this site quite interesting and the ideas seem real enough to be achieved in the near future... After all, we did build an airport (or two) in the middle of the sea, did we not? Upon entering the site, you would've probably thought, "Hmmm... looks very familiar. Wasn't that in one of the Star Wars movies?"
